Ballack could lose German Captaincy

Michael Ballack could be stripped of the captaincy for his national side due to an ongoing row with head coach Joachim Loew.

Ballack has hit back at Loew's public criticism of him saying the coach should first consult the club before holding show down talks.

Ballack had used the media to express his disappointment at how Loew had been disrespectful in his recent treatment of Torsten Frings and Kevin Kuranyi.
