Chelsea have the most nominations for the FIFPro World XI players awards despite not being able to claim any silverware last season.
The Blues have eight players shortlisted for the award, with Man United having seven, Liverpool three and Arsenal two.
The Chelsea players are: Petr Cech, Ricardo Carvalho, Ashley Cole, John Terry, Michael Ballack, Michael Essien, Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba.
Other Premier League players include: Christiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Carlos Tevez, Fernando Torres, Steven Gerrard and Cesc Fabregas.
The Premier League had 21 nominations in total, beating the Spanish Primera Liga which had 18.
The final World XI and the FIFPro World Player of the Year will be announced on October 27.
